After a fall of exploring voice over work, I was keen on getting back to class, breaking down scripts and putting work on tape. I decided that I would double down and take two classes at once to really work out my acting muscle. I was thrilled to get to work with John Cassini again at Railtown Acting Studios and continue the work we began last spring. To try something new, I signed up for a class with Christiane Hirt at Rogues West Studio as well. I audited a class first and really loved her approach to the work and her ability to help her actors tap into deeper connections with their scenes.
I’m really pleased with the work I’ve done over the last 6 weeks. I broke down 8 different characters and got some great feedback from both John and Christiane. It felt really great to be back on camera and I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn from these great coaches. There’s always more work to do, of course, and up next I’ve decided to get back into the world of Meisner. Focus some time on letting go of my perceptions of the future and instead being present and in the moment. Every moment. Like this one. Or this one.
Here’s a couple clips from my class at Rogues West with Christiane.
