the romeo section

Milestone! My first ever television role! I am so happy to share my role on The Romeo Section, season 2 episode 9. I am so grateful to casting director Judy Lee for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to audition for some of her projects over the last year. I was really excited to book my first tv job through her. And how fitting that I got to play a waitress! Like my blog title “From Service to Screen” with a little bit of service on screen in between. I even wore my work outfit to the audition.

Our shoot day was beautiful and sunny, the perfect weather to hang out on a golf course. I was teamed up with the wonderful Chelsey Marie, who played the waitress  to my hostess! I was thrilled that my scene partner was the  talented Brian Markinson. For those of you following along my blog, you’ll remember that last spring, I auditioned for Brian at the Firehall Arts Centre, and he was very complimentary and impressed by my work. I was so pleased that when I arrived on set, he remembered me and introduced me as “a talented young actress” to the director David Frazee and the creator Chris Haddock. That definitely set the tone for a great day. I was smiling for the rest of the week.
