It’s been a while, I know. I’m sorry I’ve been absent. Every once in a while, life hands you a lesson that changes things. It forces you to take a step back, and focus on just one thing at a time. Your perspective shifts and suddenly, the menial tasks that you always accomplished without thought seem unnecessarily challenging. Not to worry, you know you can do this. One step at a time.
Breathe. Drink water. Call family. Go to gym. Eat food. Go to work. See friends. Go to class.
Yes, you are being flooded by emotions, and it’s confusing and scary, but all you gotta do it follow the steps. You’re good at steps.
Write in journal. Surround yourself with inspiration. Do something spontaneous (as often as possible). Learn everything from TED. Talk to professionals. Write in journal more. Never stop writing in journal.
Eventually the basic steps become second nature again and all that learning and inspiration starts to actually sink in. Then comes the exciting part, you get to pick what steps you take next.
Get back to my blog. More headshots and website photos. Book jobs. Leave restaurant. Have career.
I’m full of gratitude and love for everyone and everything in my life. The universe is a pretty fantastic place and there’s so much to experience! Like they say, the times that seem scariest at first are the ones with the most to teach you. I wouldn’t wish away anything that’s brought me to who I am today.
Bring it on, life. I’ve got some big plans.
